The lifecycle of an order within RC:OMS.
The Order Lifecycle#
Orders move through specific statuses. Unlike Shopify which just has "Unfulfilled", we have granular operational steps.
CREATEDOrder imported from channel. Inventory reserved.
ACKNOWLEDGEDWarehouse has confirmed receipt. Routing locked.
PICKINGPick list generated. Staff is collecting items.
PACKEDItems boxed. Shipping label generated.
SHIPPEDHanded over to carrier. Tracking sent to channel.
DELIVEREDConfirmed delivery by carrier API.
Order Holds#
RC:OMS automatically places orders on Hold in these scenarios:
- Address Verification Fail: Pin code service flagged the address.
- High Risk Fraud: Shopify fraud analysis marked as 'High'.
- Stockout: Inventory discrepancy found during picking.
Releasing Holds
A manager must manually review the order and click "Release Hold" to push it back into the queue.
